A really productive few days of testing has lead us straight into our first race event of the season! Back on track tomorrow in preparation for 4 hours on the high banks Friday afternoon!

Season 8 – #33 Elantra N TCR

I’m incredibly excited to kick off the 2025 season with Bryan Herta Autosport! This journey has been nothing short of amazing, and I’m confident this next chapter will be our most thrilling yet.

I’m honored to share the car this year with Bryson, who delivered an outstanding performance last season—especially with his incredible drive at the Nürburgring. With race wins and a clear focus on the championship, we’re ready to take on the challenge together.

Back-to-back victories to close out the season and a second-place finish in the driver’s championship! As a team, we proudly secured Hyundai’s fifth consecutive IMSA TCR manufacturer’s title, leading 378 laps and raising $37,800 for Hyundai Hope on Wheels.

Throughout the season, the support from the N community has been incredible. Every success was a collective effort fueled by a remarkable group of people, and I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to represent Hyundai and Bryan Herta Autosport.

A special thanks to my teammate, my friend, and an all-around incredible person—Mason. Your relentless drive was key to our achievements this year, including that unforgettable moment when we kissed the bricks at Indy thanks to your flawless drive.

A big shout-out to our entire #98 crew—killer strategy, flawless pit stops, and perfect execution at every turn.

P4 and a hard fought race at VIR. We ran up front, our guys gave us a great pit stop and our strategy put us in a good spot. Mason had some tough/fun battles up front and in the end we’re right in the championship hunt. With two to go we’ll keep focused on getting back on the top step and securing the manufacturers championship for Hyundai. Lots to play for and far from over. We’ll keep pushing and aim for a great race at Indy next month.

A great race and hard fought P2 finish for us on the #98! This one felt pretty good! We pushed hard all race and our strategy played out perfectly. After a few tough races it felt fantastic to be back on the podium, also some redemption at Road America after a heartbreaker last year. Big Thanks to our group. We had a really strong car, great opening stint by Mason, fantastic stops and solid strategy; awesome team effort! Hyundai’s led lots of laps for Hyundai Hope on Wheels and we gained some points in the manufacturers championship. Three to go with all on the table; it’ll be a dog fight to the finish. VIR up next in a few weeks!

A double podium for the team! Congratulations to Robert and Harry on the Win; great job guys!

For us on the 98, an opening lap puncture set us back and we worked hard to try and get back in the fight. A solid strategy call got us back on the lead lap but a late stint tire issue meant an additional stop and with that the best we could do was P6. We’ve certainly had some challenges of late but such is racing. The tough ones definitely make the wins feel extra special when you achieve them. We’ll keep focused forward and look forward to another shot at it in a few weeks at Road America!

Always an adventure with the crew. This Canada Day we loaded up the new Santa Fe and headed north. The perfect family hauler to get us to all the fun!

P4 at the 🏁.

A solid weekend for the team with a double podium! Congratulations to our teammates on their great result! 👏

We had a strong Elantra N TCR, Mason did a great job in the opening stint and our BHA guys delivered on the stop. Track position wasn’t our friend and a late run tire issue meant we had to take it easy to the finish. That being said, we made up two spots after a number of cars ran out of fuel. We will take the points and focus forward to CTMP in two weeks! Home race! 😊.

We will keep pushing for the top step!

It was good until it wasn’t.
We led many laps and had a really great car. It wasn’t meant to be with a tire failure ultimately taking us out of the fight. P12.
We will regroup and get prepped for Watkins Glen in a couple of weeks!

That’s a 🥇🥈🥉 for Hyundai at the Nürburgring 24 (8)!

The Nürburgring project has come full circle and oh my was it ever special! It’s hard to describe what it’s like to drive The Ring but to RACE it is truly next level. Add in adverse weather, which was a key feature in this year’s race and an incredible energy from the 240,000 fans and you have a surreal experience that will be difficult if not impossible to ever replicate. It was wild and it was awesome!

N stands in part for Nürburgring and Hyundai’s presence was electric. The Pikes Peak challenger the IONIQ 5 N TA was announced with this epic hill climb quickly approaching later this month. It will be exhilarating to watch!

You certainly couldn’t have scripted this race or how it unfolded. Adverse weather and the Nürburgring go hand in hand but this year it was the fog that had the upper hand.

At the break (red flag) we had the class lead thanks in large part to great drives by my teammates who performed brilliantly in very difficult conditions. Incredible job guys!

Thanks to Target and our BHA crew for the great pit stops and Thanks to Hyundai for giving us an incredible Elantra N TCR to tackle the challenges of The Ring!💯

With this incredible experience now in the rear view, we turn our focus to this weekend’s 4 hour at Mid Ohio! After a great podium result at Laguna, Mason and I are hoping for the top step. It’s the heart of the race season and we’re flat out!

A hard fought P2 at Laguna! 🥈

We did everything right and all we could. I had a fun opening stint and brought the car to Mason in P2. A great pit stop and some excellent driving by Mason saw us lead a bunch of laps in support of Hyundai Hope on Wheels.

A huge Thanks to our crew and team for giving us a great race car! It was a pleasure to welcome Ollie (HHOW ambassador) to the team as well as our ultimate race mom! Thanks to the Hyundai N clubs for coming out and supporting us once again! It was a great weekend and lots to be grateful for! 🙏🏼

Nürburgring… what a ride it has been these past two weekends. Just an incredible, surreal experience. The 24 hour qualifier weekend was a huge success with a 1-2-3 finish for Hyundai in TCR. A double podium for us in the #831 with a P3 in race 1 and P2 in race 2. 🏁🥈🥉

A huge Thank You to HMSG, Target and our BHA teammates for building us a fantastic race car 🙏🏼.

How about that new front end?! 😍 The new aggressive look is perfect and performs so well on track! 🤩

Lots learned, lots more to learn… excited for our next IMSA race at Laguna Seca in a few short weeks! We keep pushing!

Sebring 2024.

Sebring didn’t unfold quite like we had hoped but we landed P6 and collected some solid championship points. Mason did a great job to run near the front for much of his stint and we led a few laps but ultimately, strategy wasn’t our friend. We will re-group and get ready for Hyundai’s home race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in early May.

The highlight of the event was the $2,100 raised for Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital as a result of four different Hyundai’s leading a combined total of 21 laps in the Sebring race. We will keep pushing to lead as many laps as possible in support of this great initiative.

Thanks to all of the N-Thusiasts from N Club Florida that once again came out to support us! We look forward to catching up with our friends from the local N Clubs out west at Laguna in May!

Welcome to the home of Mark Wilkins Racing! I'm a Canadian Professional Race Car Driver based in Mulmur, Ontario. I've lived and breathed racing my entire life and I've been fortunate to turn my passion for motorsport into a career. Over the past five years I've been racing with Bryan Herta Autosport campaigning championship winning Hyundai TCR cars throughout North America. For 2023, I'll be racing alongside Robert Wickens in the #33 Hyundai Elantra N TCR in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.
